Hudson Creative Hub Raises the Roof — and More — at 2025 Gala
$65,000 raised for building improvements
The Hudson Creative Hub is celebrating an inspiring milestone following the tremendous success of its 2025 fundraising gala, Sérénade au Vignoble. Held June 7 at the scenic Souffle de Vie Vineyard in Senneville, the event raised more than $65,000—surpassing both previous years’ results. These funds will support essential upgrades to the Hub’s historic building, including the replacement of its roof and further improvements to enhance the venue for artists and audiences alike.
“The Hub is more than a performance space—it’s a place where artists and community come together to create something lasting,” said board member and key funder Gina Gentile. “This incredible outpouring of support shows that our community values the arts deeply and believes in the Hub’s potential to grow as a home for creativity in all its forms.”
The gala also served as an opportunity to introduce the Hub’s new leadership team, which includes William Dueck, Joelle Jeremie, Seiji Gutierrez, and Briana Doyle—a dynamic group of artists and organizers dedicated to strengthening the Hub’s community impact and artistic vision.
A Night to Remember: Artistry, Atmosphere, and Community Spirit
Guests were treated to a stunning live performance by acclaimed jazz-pop vocalist David Marino, a finalist on Canada’s Got Talent, whose smooth vocals and emotional range were paired beautifully with pianist John Gilbert. Their elegant, heartfelt set offered a memorable centrepiece to an evening of gourmet tastings and spirited bidding led by renowned auctioneer Robin Pridham.
The vineyard itself was transformed into a dreamlike setting by local artists and designers Nancy Farnum and Erika MacPhee, who created an immersive atmosphere using found and recycled materials—branches, twigs, fairy lights, vintage décor, and more. Their imaginative design was both sustainable and spectacular, reflecting the Hub’s values of creativity and community care.
Former board president Helen Kurgansky captured the mood in a message to volunteers and supporters:
“Their support is a powerful reminder that our community believes in what we are working to achieve and stands with us in making it happen.”
